When it comes to creating possibilities in your drawing, you also need inspiration and imagination. However, you may be feeling uninspired. Even when you know what to draw, the results look wooden and your imagination seems to have gone on a permanent holiday.

Fortunately, there are lots of ways to ignite more excitement in your cartooning

Today’s simple technique is fail-safe and I’m pretty sure the results that will amaze you. I often surprise myself with the results of this technique, too.

It doesn’t matter whether you are drawing digitally or with pencil and paper, the technique works just the same. It’s literally so simple that a grade-schooler can use it, and in fact most of them do without even realising it.

I call it keeping your pencil down
